About This Spot

Stepping into Da7berha restaurant on Sulaiman Al Nabulsi Street in Amman is like walking into a heartfelt embrace of Jordanian tradition. The space is unpretentious and straightforward, where the warmth comes from shared stories, familiar gestures, and the unmistakable aroma of a dish loved by many. The pace is gentle but steady—there’s a quiet energy in the room that comes from anticipation and appreciation rather than rush or showiness.

This is a place where the focus rests beautifully on the experience of Mansaf, Jordan’s iconic national dish. Here, the tender lamb, rich and subtly spiced, nestled on beds of soft rice and bread, carries the soul of a culture deeply intertwined with hospitality. The jameed sauce—tangy and creamy—reaches every corner of the dish in a way that invites you to slow down and savor each bite. It’s food meant to be shared, enjoyed, and remembered, and the straightforward menu underscores a confident dedication to one remarkable tradition rather than fuss or variety.

The atmosphere reflects a modest, lived-in charm—wooden tables filled with locals and visitors alike, the occasional soft laughter, and attentive staff who know their role isn’t just serving food but facilitating a moment of genuine connection. You might find yourself sitting alongside a family relishing their evening meal or a group swapping stories, united by the common thread of good food and comfort.

Da7berha has that rare quality of making you feel invited into something timeless and uncomplicated. It’s a space where the act of eating transforms into an unspoken gesture of Jordanian warmth—where the setting is as much a part of the journey as the meal itself.

Da7berha is a cozy spot in Amman that celebrates one of Jordan’s most iconic dishes: Mansaf. For anyone unfamiliar, Mansaf is Jordan’s national dish—tender lamb served over rice with jameed (a rich, tangy dried yogurt sauce). It’s comforting, flavorful, and deeply tied to Jordanian hospitality. At Da7berha, the vibe is authentically Jordanian—warm, traditional, and straightforward, just like a good Mansaf place should be. The portion is generous for a single meal, and the pricing is very reasonable: 10 JOD for a plate, which includes a bottle of water and a local cola. If you want to go all-in (and trust me, many do), you can add an extra piece of meat for 5 JOD. The Mansaf itself is delicious and satisfying, with well-cooked meat and nicely balanced jameed. While there’s always room for finer presentation or a slightly richer flavor, Da7berha delivers a solid, authentic Mansaf experience that feels both homemade and welcoming. Overall, a strong 4-star experience—great value, traditional atmosphere, and a hearty plate of Jordan’s favorite dish. Perfect for anyone craving real Jordanian comfort food.

I visited the Da7berha restaurant around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, and there was already a line outside. All visitors are given a number and are invited inside when their number is called. The line moved fairly quickly. I waited about 20 minutes. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There is only one dish on the menu, but it is truly impressive and tasty, with a huge portion. At the end, they treat you to aromatic cardamom coffee. It's definitely worth a visit!

If you’re looking for the best mansaf in Amman, Da7berha Restaurant is hands down the place to be! I’ve tried so many spots across the city, but this one truly stole my heart. The flavors are authentic, the meat is tender, the jameed sauce is perfectly balanced, and the rice is cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service makes you feel right at home. Every bite reminded me why mansaf is Jordan’s pride — and Da7berha does it justice like no other. Highly recommended for anyone craving a true Jordanian experience!

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Was recommended this place by a local friend and it was my first time trying mansaf. Flavors are relatively simple, but it just hits - it's extremely comforting and you can't stop. The lamb was cooked to perfection - not gamey and not too oily. The yoghurt sauce is crack, you can't stop slathering it onto every bite. Decor and atmosphere made me feel like I had a true local experience, and service was extremely quick. Each person gets a bottle of water and local soda, plus there's gahwa and mastic gum for after your meal freely available. I've always enjoyed places that serve one thing and one thing only because they have to get it absolutely right - and this is one place that doesn't disappoint on that rule!

This is not a fancy place and come expecting to use your hands. There’s not much explanation you get the thing of rice with lamb on top of it and a pitcher of yogurt that you pour over it do not over order. It is very filling and don’t forget there’s Arab bread underneath.

So delicious jameed and ghee taste just perfect.. Deserve the wait, 12 am and it was still crowded food served hot and jammed thick as supposed.. Atmosphere nice suitable for families and groups Staff so polite, helpful and generouse ???????? so proud of them and wish them all the best I ordered plane mansaf cause I don't eat meat at night.. I know most of Pp will protest but I suggest they serve chicken mansaf also add extra Jammed portion to the menu I definitely will visit again ınşAllah

‏Da7berha, Amman, Jordan. A casual eatery serving one dish; Mansaf. Mansaf is a traditional Jordanian dish made of lamb cooked in a sauce of fermented dried yogurt and served with rice. The Mansaf was good but the taste of Jameed and Ghee could have been stronger. Rating ⭐⭐⭐ 3.5/5 Average PPP JOD 11
